Market Pulse - Quarter 3

Equities performed well in the third quarter, helped by robust corporate earnings and firmer economic growth. Much of the outperformance was attributable to the US – growth eased in most other regions compared with last year. The trade war issue stayed at the forefront of investors’ minds, but compromises and the suspension of some threatened tariffs helped to dissipate tensions. This contributed to core bond yields rising and falls in Eurozone sovereign bonds.
